Mission

To provide sustainable social-welfare, Integration and Development for Vulnerable groups,

Values

We prioritize Integrity, Inclusiveness, Innovations and gender equity.

In the aftermath of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, Rwanda faced immense challenges. The war left many people homeless, impoverished, orphaned, widowed, and afflicted by diseases such as HIV/AIDS. Despite the government’s relentless efforts to heal the nation’s wounds, the situation remained dire.

Strive Foundation Rwanda (SFR) was established in 2003 to address these pressing issues and promote the social and economic welfare of vulnerable communities. SFR is a local non-governmental, non-religious, non-political, and non-profit organization. It is legally recognized by the Rwanda Ministry of Justice under legal personality No: 04/08.11, as published in the official gazette on February 15, 2010, and complies with the Rwanda Governance Board (RGB) under compliance No: 04/2012, dated February 17, 2012.

Located in Kigali city, Gasabo district, Ndera sector, Masoro cell, Matwari village, KG 11 Street, Zindiro-Azam road, SFR is dedicated to creating a supportive environment to achieve its mission.

SFR focuses on four key programmatic areas: Health, Education, Women and Youth Economic Empowerment, and cross-cutting programs of Inclusiveness, Environment, and Gender. Our core strategy is to empower individuals to help themselves and advocate for the services they deserve. We measure our success by enhancing awareness, improving livelihoods, and meeting other criteria mutually agreed upon with the government of Rwanda.

Founded to advocate for social justice and equitable development, SFR remains committed to the socio-economic empowerment of vulnerable populations in Rwanda.
