Last year, SFR supported youth cooperatives in Nyamasheke’s Rangiro Sector and Rusizi’s Butare Sector right along the Nyungwe Forest belt-line by providing flowering plants and essential beekeeping materials. Today, that support is bearing fruits! Youth have sharpened their skills, boosted honey harvests, and expanded into value-added products like bee-based jelly. This initiative is not just about honey—it’s about hope. It’s fueling youth entrepreneurship, promoting environmental sustainability, and creating lasting jobs. The youth are now self-reliant changemakers, transforming their communities through sustainable beekeeping.
