Strive Foundation Rwanda hands over 11 fully renovated houses to vulnerable women-headed households from the Ingoro-Ihuje Ababyeyi Women’s Cooperative in the Tumba sector, Mpare cell of Huye District a cooperative supported by SFR to change its economic narrative. These houses were originally constructed with the support of the Human Help Network nearly 10 years ago as part of a broader initiative aimed at improving the livelihoods of women in the community.

The renovation project not only renews the physical living spaces but also symbolizes a renewed commitment to women’s empowerment and community resilience. Each house has been upgraded to ensure safety, comfort, and sustainability, creating a more supportive environment for the families living there.

By providing these homes, Strive Foundation Rwanda makes a significant contribution to long-term community development. This initiative addresses the urgent needs of vulnerable women who are heads of households, allowing them to focus on income-generating activities without the burden of inadequate housing.

This effort serves as a testament to the positive impact that targeted support can have on improving the quality of life for women and their families, ultimately strengthening the entire community. The initiative exemplifies how housing can act as a catalyst for social change and economic growth over the long term.
