To enhance agricultural productivity and sustainability, Strive Foundation Rwanda, with generous support from Trocaire, provided agricultural lime fertilizer to three women-led cooperatives in Huye District: Amahoro, Dusange-Abandi-Mwiterambere, and Ingoro-Ihuje Ababyeyi.
This initiative aims to improve soil fertility, a crucial factor in boosting crop yields for the upcoming agricultural season. By equipping these cooperatives with essential resources, Strive Foundation Rwanda seeks to foster food security and promote sustainable livelihoods for the women involved.
The provision of agricultural lime fertilizer not only addresses immediate agricultural needs but also empowers these cooperatives to achieve economic independence. Strive Foundation Rwanda is making significant progress toward building resilient agricultural systems and enhancing the quality of life for vulnerable women farmers in these cooperatives, as well as for others in the future. This initiative contributes to the broader goal of poverty alleviation in rural communities.
SFR remains committed to supporting the growth of local women’s economies and improving their livelihoods, paving the way for a more equitable and sustainable future.
