Job Description:
Strive Foundation Rwanda (SFR) is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Field Agronomist
to be based in Huye District, Southern Province. This position is under Women Economic
Empowerment (WEE) Project implemented by Strive Foundation Rwanda.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and guidance to agriculture cooperatives.
- Conduct field visits and offer agronomic advice to enhance crop production.
- Develop and implement training programs for farmers on best agricultural practices.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of agricultural activities and projects.
- Assist in the development of sustainable farming practices.
- Collaborate with local authorities and other stakeholders to ensure the success of
agricultural projects. - Prepare regular reports on project progress and outcomes.
Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, or a related field.
- Extensive experience working with agriculture cooperatives.
- Strong knowledge of local agricultural practices and challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Kinyarwanda and English; knowledge of French is an added advantage.
